3 Ethical Clothing Brands USA made!
Harvest and Mill
Harvest and Mill work directly with American organic cotton farmers to source the
highest quality organic cotton. All of their organic cotton is grown in the USA and all of their yarn is spun and knit in the USA. They never never use bleaches, synthetic chemical finishes or toxic dyes, their naturally-dyed clothing comes from farmers and dye artists in Indiana and California and they independently sew their own clothing in California. From their organic fabric to their packaging, all of their materials are compostable or recyclable.
Groceries Apparel
Groceries Apparel makes their own products in their factory in Los Angeles, CA ensuring that their standards and values are fully executed. When they couldn’t find a high capacity non-toxic dye house in the US, they started their own, they gather discarded food scraps including carrot tops, pomegranate rinds, used coffee grounds, avocado seeds, onions skins, roots, plants and flowers to make their own non-toxic dyes in house. They also sew their own products which gives them complete control over quality and supports local families and communities.
SOS From Texas
SOS organic cotton products are 100% Made in the USA. Their t-shirts are made from organic cotton grown on their own farms that have been certified organic by the Texas Department of Agriculture since 1992. The harvested cotton is ginned at their certified organic gin and then shipped to a certified mill in North Carolina for spinning into yarn where it is also knitted, finished and sewn. SOS organic cotton is "good for man and good for the land" as these practices improve the environment, create jobs for people in rural American and keep their family farm and heritage sustainable
We have a responsibility to choose wisely.
Sustainability is the biggest problem in the garment fashion industry. The creation of clothing consumes natural resources and generates harmful waste that is dumped into waterways. Cleaning up this industry is imperative to the health of our children and our world. We salute these sustainable and ethical clothing brands made in the USA and hope more clothing manufacturers follow their lead.
